ABOUT THIS PROJECT

SEARCH+RESQ collaborated with Tatsu Ramen to create a custom laser-engraved aluminum mural for the brand's flagship restaurant in New York. Inspired by the restaurant's bold visual identity, the artwork depicts three samurai locked in battle with a dragon whose tail transforms into flowing ramen noodles—a dramatic interpretation of the brand's adventurous spirit.

Composed of forty-five custom blackened aluminum panels, the installation spans approximately 10 feet high by 30 feet wide, creating a striking architectural centerpiece within the dining space. The project became the world's largest laser-engraved mural on aluminum panels, showcasing the possibilities of combining art, technology, and precision fabrication at an architectural scale.

As the project evolved, SEARCH+RESQ's role expanded beyond specialty fabrication to include comprehensive project management. From panel design and fabrication to laser engraving, logistics, and installation coordination, we guided the project from concept to completion. We also designed custom point-of-sale enclosures that have since been incorporated into Tatsu Ramen locations, extending the brand's visual language throughout the customer experience.
