I'm Ando, founder and creative director of SEARCH+RESQ. After earning my Bachelor of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, I worked as an architectural designer with award-winning firms, developing a deep appreciation for modern design, materiality, and the relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit. That architectural foundation continues to shape how I approach every project.

I've never believed that great ideas fit neatly into a single discipline. My work moves fluidly between architecture, interiors, art, objects, brand environments, and fabrication—often bringing several of these worlds together within a single project.

More than a decade ago, I recognized the creative potential of digital fabrication and became an early adopter of laser cutting and engraving. What began as a tool for experimentation has evolved into an integrated creative practice incorporating CNC manufacturing, custom fabrication, and a trusted network of skilled craftspeople and fabricators.

Today, I collaborate with architects, designers, artists, agencies, brands, and private clients to explore what an idea can become and how to bring it into the physical world. From early creative direction and material exploration through prototyping, fabrication, and installation, I bridge the space between imagination and execution—balancing creative ambition with an understanding of materials, budgets, production, and the realities of building.

Alongside commissioned work, I continue to explore ideas through fine art, furniture, objects, and independent studies—experimentation that continually informs the larger creative practice of SEARCH+RESQ.
