I'm Ando, founder and creative director of SEARCH+RESQ. After earning my Bachelor of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, I worked as an architectural designer with award-winning firms, developing a deep appreciation for modern design, minimalism, and the relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit. That architectural foundation continues to influence every project I take on.

I've never believed that great ideas fit neatly into a single discipline. Whether designing an interior, creating a piece of public art, developing a custom product, or fabricating an immersive installation, I enjoy working at the intersection of design, technology, and making.

More than a decade ago, I recognized the creative potential of digital fabrication and became an early adopter of laser cutting and engraving. What began as a tool for exploration has grown into a fully integrated design and fabrication practice, expanded through CNC manufacturing, custom fabrication, and a trusted network of skilled craftspeople.

Today, I partner with clients from the earliest stages of an idea through design development, material selection, prototyping, fabrication, and installation. My role is to bridge the gap between concept and construction—finding creative, practical solutions that honor both the design vision and the realities of budget, materials, and production. Whether collaborating with architects, designers, artists, agencies, or private clients, I bring the same level of curiosity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail to every project.

In addition to client work, I design SEARCH+RESQ's original furniture collections, including Ecosystem and Hyebrid. Rooted in modularity, human-scale design, and sustainable materials, each collection is made to order in Los Angeles in collaboration with a network of independent craftspeople and skilled fabricators.
