IRIS TRIPTYCH grew from a photograph of irises discovered in full bloom outdoors. The floral image was translated across three blackened aluminum panels originally left over from a previous installation.
Metal (+) plus shaped offcuts from another project became dimensional elements within the piece, while their geometry inspired the layered graphic pattern that extends across the upper half of the composition.
Bringing together photography, laser etching, color, and repurposed materials, the piece gives fragments from past projects an entirely new expression—a study in finding new possibilities within what already exists.
