LUKSHON
Laser-Etched + Inlaid Wood Panels
Design + Fabrication + Laser Etching

SEARCH+RESQ collaborated with MASS Architecture & Design to create a series of custom teak wall panels for Lukshon, a contemporary Asian restaurant in Culver City.

The project began with fragments of vintage wallpaper discovered by chef and owner Sang Yoon among his grandmother’s belongings. Wanting to preserve something deeply personal within the restaurant, the patterns became the starting point for a series of architectural panels created as a lasting tribute to her memory.

Working from the original wallpaper fragments, SEARCH+RESQ translated the delicate motifs into laser-etched artwork and exotic wood inlay. The patterns were carefully integrated into the teak panels, bringing together digital fabrication and traditional material craftsmanship while preserving the character of the original imagery.

Installed throughout the restaurant, the finished panels became part of the architecture itself—transforming a family heirloom into an enduring element of the dining experience.
